Summers are here, and we need a good sunscreen as much as we need cold water; okay, not literally, but we do need a good sunscreen for sure. And just like you, I too have been trying so many sunscreens with a hope of finding a perfect one. In this series of sunscreen experiment, I tried Mamaearth Aqua Glow Sunscreen. Is it a perfect one? Let me tell you honestly. Read the Mamaearth Sunscreen Review.
Packaging
The product is packaged in a flat bottle. Honestly, packaging is very basic and not that good. There’s no proper dispensing mechanism. You just have to keep hitting the bottle on your hand to get the product out, and then you get excess amount that you will keep trying to put back in the bottle.
Price:
Rs. 399 for 50 gram
The price is just fine, neither expensive nor inexpensive.

My Experience
First, I was a bit disappointed with the packaging. Anyway, performance matters.
The efficiency of any sunscreen can be determined by its SPF value. The SPF of Mamaearth Aqua Glow Sunscreen is 50, which is good. Also, it is PA++++, so it gives more protection to the skin. Thus, it is sorted. Now, let’s see how it performs in other aspects.
The common issues faced with sunscreens are: white cast, sweating, and oily look. Let’s see if this sunscreen has these issues or not.
It gave very negligible to no white cast. I have a dusky complexion, so I see a little white cast if I apply in generous amount. I guess there won’t be any white cast for fair complexion, and no white cast at any complexion if applied in suitable amount.
Sweating….. very very less, only around lips.
Oily look…. Hmmm…. here is a catch. I could not see any oilyness instantly, and I thought that Mamaearth aqua glow sunscreen has passed this test too. But once I had a video call (in natural light), and I could see a very oily face. The person on the other side too noticed my oily face (and it was embarrassing).
Next time, I applied a good compact powder over it, and it could control the oily look. But yes, it gives you a oily look, at least a little.
Pros
- Good sun protection (high SPF
- No white cast
- No sweating
Cons
- A little oilyness
Does it fulfil its Claims
Yes
Final Verdict
Mamaearth Aqua Glow Sunscreen is not the best sunscreen, but can be used.
Rating*: 4/5
Will I buy it again: Yes, till I find a better one.
Do I Recommend it:
Mmm…. Yes, only till I find and tell you about a better one.
